I'm gonna ignore the suspension of disbelief for a moment while I ask this:
Where in the hells did Allag get the resources to build Dalamud? I can handwaive Syrcus Tower and its facilities simply because, well, crystal is in abundance and its signifcantly smaller than the Red Moon.
But DALAMUD IS ENORMOUS. Seriously, look at any of the pieces scattered around Eorzea like the one in Alder Springs. These pieces are the size of cities, if not bigger.
Is there an enormous hole on the other side of the planet out of sight where they mined the resources to make it? Is some of it summoned material? (if that's even possible within XIV lore)
