Some Easy Oizys EX+ Farming Tips for Botanist / Miner [see comments and link]

Hello, so had some people ask about this in-game and online so I made a demonstration of a specific mission I've been repeating constantly to get EX+ tokens, it's not a guide but more to support or give a visual example of my tips here. (I drew a diagram and flowchart too but then it got too complicated-looking so scrapped it.)

Missions:

  • EX+: Survey of Rare Aetheric Flora (8pm - 12am)
  • EX+: Survey of Rare Aetheric Minerals (12pm - 4pm)

Gear Requirements
I've been using high-tier gatherer melds with Goldentail Pie HQ but I'm pretty sure it's massively overkill for this.

General Info
Goal is to get 100 items under 2m for gold (before 3.00 is remaining). A 'Greater Reach' duty action is available at multiples of #4 chains that returns 200gp, gives back random integrity and can be used up to 4 times on the same node.

Note that with each pairing of nodes, the right one (if facing from inside all the nodes) will always have 6/6 integrity or say '+2' on it when targeted.

The Tips / Strategy I Use

  • Ultimately there are 4 types of nodes and I just react to them based on this;
    • 6/6 integrity with no bonuses
    • 6/6 integrity with 100% HQ
    • 5/5 integrity with no bonuses
    • 5/5 integrity with 100% HQ
  • I rotate counter-clockwise, this way the 1st node of each pair I visit will always be a 6/6 integrity node. With such a rotation you'll always alternate from 6/6 > 5/5 > 6/6 > 5/5 and so on. If lucky, some of these will be 100% HQ which may benefit from some GP use out of them (and I'll go over what I do below):
    • For the 6/6, I always use Yield 2 (500gp) because these guarantee the duty-action use at least once. After reaching 1/6, you'll always get to use one. I don't bother but you can spare Gift II (100gp) for some more HQ rate.
    • For 5/5 I just spare a Gift II (100gp) and treat it as a filler node, and rush to finish it to move on.
    • For 5/5s with 100% HQ, I use Tidings (200gp) and spare a Reason / Ageless (300gp) to proc the duty action since it returns 200gp anyway, and then I just play around to see how long I can keep up the chain but I don't bother too much with it because I always save 500gp for the next node which will always be a 6/6.
    • For 6/6 with 100%, I prioritise all my GP for these so I use Yield 2 (500gp) and Tidings (200gp), and see how the duty action works. If it returns 1 attempt, I just move on, but any more than that and I may spare Reason / Ageless (300gp) to get some back. If you're lucky you may at best case finish a mission on one of these nodes alone.

Other Tips
That's it, it sounds like a lot, but there's so much leeway with this mission that you can get gold even with bad luck or by using GP badly. Some more points:

  • Speed is more important than overthinking a node, so don't waste too much time standing around or overthinking a 5/5 node.
  • I've had times when I had no 100% HQ nodes but I was still able to get gold with about 10s left by just remembering to use the duty action on the 6/6 nodes at the very least. Going to a 6/6 node with 500gp is probably mandatory.

Final Note

  • These aren't 'tested' tips so I'm sure better optimisation exists elsewhere, but I haven't failed any golds yet so hopefully this should help! I think some experience may help way more than reading and memorising these tips, and maybe you'll find your own method that works better, just shared in case it helps anyone. The video's there just for those who like visuals and wanted to see how I go about it.
