Signing up means you intend to come

We had something around 50% sign-up attendance at Buburimu today, that is abyssmal and sad. If you don't plan to attend a run then don't waste a sign-up spot on it. I know things happen & often people's schedules change but I am sure that if I checked who is regularly *not* attending even though they are signing up it would be many of the same people. If you don't plan on coming then don't waste my time where I am trying to determine if more people are going to show up or not or whether we should move forward.

it's especially annoying in the CoP zones since there are only 36 slots available (aside from Tavnazia) and when i see a sign-up thread with over 36 replies i'm prone to automatically planning to do something else. and i'm sure others feel the same way.

then again it does pay to wait around for no-shows and the eventual open spots

I know you said about a 50% attendance, but being one of those that didn't show up, I apologize. I always either show up or let someone know that I can't make something. I drove 3 hours to watch a tennis match, and it ended later than I though. I didn't have access to a comp nor did I want to miss any of the action in the match. I apologize for my part in that 50%, but I know I am not one of those who have a record of this.

I also apologize for not showing up. My laptop is being sent in for repairs so I couldn't log on today. >_<

Yeah it sucks when I want to go, but see that its full up on sign ups...should probably just go down to check it out next time.

That is always good to check it out, or at least have the LS on so you can see if there is room to head out. Can't really stop this 100% so usually is a spot or two, no matter when it is. True, there could be those rare instances where all 64/64 that signed up for a xarc run would show, but not likely.

I know that things pop up, and that's fine, and I'm not trying to call people out by name or anything.

But in a CoP zone especially it is frustrating to see 43 sign-ups and 26 people come, more so considering some of those 26 did not sign-up.

In the upcoming Tavnazia for instance, if attendance is that bad then we will barely have enough people to do 1 run of the zone, let alone field 2 teams.

Oh I agree, that's why a couple of us posting our reasons for things coming up :)

Yeah, I had something come up unexpectedly too. My Net connection died Sunday morning and hadn't come back when I checked it this morning. >_< I'm hoping it's back by the time I get home from work....

i was also one of the ones that didn't show. and although your not "calling people out" i also would like to post my apology. sound had me signed in, but i talked to him and told him i wasnt going to make it back to austin from houston in time... hell i didnt end up leaving houston until about 7-730-ish :weeping01

Like I said, it's not to single out, but I just want people to be aware that at some runs if the sign-ups are dramatically off from the actual attendance that it can have a major impact on how the run goes.

Hi everyone, new to DynamisX but really looking for a good dyna ls that actually goes where their schedule says and starts on time(reasonably) and I hear your the best. I'm not one to sign up and not show either, hard to get points that way. See you all sunday. :shades02:
