2 things that suck, 1) If you gonna die in that manner, i think a shark or crock would've been a more glorious way to go, but a Stingray? 2) He leaves his Wife and small child behind. I feel for them the most.

I'm sure he was smart and had a huge life insurance policy. Still doesn't make up for the loss of a father/husband. But I'm sure they aren't hurting financially.

And no, I have no idea what it was about. It was a wierd combination of documentary and Disney kids-outsmarting-poachers flick. Only saw it because it was the first feature at a drive-in.

Regardless, after hearing about how a stingray barb can go in the front of your thigh and come out the other side while slicing your femoral artery, I'm never going in the water again.

Yeah, that's what happened. After hearing about the accident, I googled "stingray barb". Big mistake.

Supposedly he was filming while he was swimming too, but they wont release the footage. Just like they said they wouldnt release the footage of the Soldier having his head severed.
