I just had a levelling roulette where our tank was clearly forcing low level for crystal paste farming by equipping intentionally terrible gear - this player was lv100 in multiple jobs from each role.
All their gear was ilvl 15-40 with a ilvl9 copper ring and all glamoured to the dawntrail PLD AF set. We got stone vigil and I was forced into spamming cure 2 the entire run.
I think it goes without saying please don't do this, you're not only dragging 3 others through your bs but also kneecapping yourself at the same time by making it slower.
If you really must do this you can queue with no gear on and then re-equip your full endgame set without any drawbacks.
