Ps4 - Invalid Password Immediately After Account Creation

I just purchased the Complete Edition on PS4, created an account using the Square Enix Account Manager on my computer, and was able to link my PS4 account and license to my Square account. Immediately following this, I attempted to re-log in through the Account Manager and was told that either my User ID or password was incorrect. No biggie, I probably fat fingered my password when I made the account, right?

I went through the reset password instructions, got the confirmation code through my email, and reset my password successfully. Attempting to log in with the password I just created, the invalid ID or password error appears. I retry password reset several times, copy-pasting the password into each field, to no avail.

Not only is this behavior happening on my account, but with my friend's account as well, same behavior and everything. What gives?
