One of the largest problems in FFXIV pvp is the lack of incentives to get better at the game. The existing achievements focus on group aspect, such as "achieve 100 wins" on a map, "win 100 games as tank". The problem with them they don't really ask the player to do anything. You can win 1000 games in frontline by just queueing up, and not actually be good (look at me for example!)
What would be amazing is to take an example from other pvp games: add personal achievement.
For example:
"Achieve 3 million damage as X class"
"Take 3 million damage as X class"
"Heal 3 million as X class"
"Fight continuously for 5 minutes"
"Go x amount of games without dying" (might not be a good one)
"Do the most damage to ice in a game" (i know i know...)
"Kill 5 people in one attack"
"Kill enemies of different alliances in one attack" (pinch encouragement)
"Kill X amount of enemies using fall damage" (golfing and terrain damage encouragement)
"Save X number of friendlies from death" (encouraging helping others)
These are just some examples that came up by thinking about it for a few minutes, and I am sure there will be other good achievements you could add that focus on the fun and not the grind of pvp. These could be done per class, to give people different achievements to target, and they may not necessarily need rewards but rather something to aim for.
Additionally, it would be amazing to have pvp statistics for every job you play, for every map you play etc
