 | I love how with just a little brainstorming and exploring you can craft your own narrative. Crafting your warrior and discovering not only your where they come from but where they go. Figuring out where your WOL would spend their days hanging out outside of the MSQ, their favourite inns or bars etc. The little rosy garden in Wineport has become my new default AFK spot. A home away from home for my new WOL. I'd originally made this char to play with a friend who was just starting but nows she's become my default when I get burnt out on the MSQ and need to do something else. Probably gonna get rinsed in the long run using phantas instead of making a whole new character but I can't be arsed filling up a second glamour dresser. So Aliyah Russell was born, as my main character Eliyah Rostal (link to my previous post which features Eli) felt weird to play as anything other than scholar or mage/conjurer. Never realised the random nameless NPC's actually turn to look at you until I ran into this lass down in Wineport. It instantly got my writer brain turning and soon the ruff and tumble Aliyah came to life inside my head. She's no major hero like the character i've been using for the MSQ, instead she's the everyday hero that does all the sidequests. While Eli is soling primal after primal and tackling the Garlean empire head on, Aliyah is running around delivering odds and ends. Fishing in Limsa or resting in the flower garden in Wineport. Eli is the stiff, wordly scholar from the far north daughter of a famous poet, Aliyah the laid back alley stray, abandoned on the Aleport docks. If they where ever to meet i'd imagine they'd be at each other's throats from the get go, but would be a force to be reckoned with if they could manage to focus on a common goal. (Extra note, the names being similar was actually on accident. I took Aliyah's name from another project of mine and the character in that project just happened to be named similarly.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Open question to anyone still reading this far I guess, where does your WOL like to hang out? Do they run around in the busy plazas of Limsa, or relax in the cool shade of New Gridania? Do they have a small outpost they frequent, or a favourite fishing spot? (P.S: mods, if your confused about me deleting an older version of this post, reddit crunched the shit out of the photos, hopefully jpegs will compress nicer.
