Hi Team,

With a large variety of Gaming Handhelds Such as the ROG Xbox Ally X, Lenovo Legion Go, MSI Claw 8 AI+ as well as GPD and AYANEO units, we're sorely lacking the ability to easily type using the dpad, thumsticks, and face buttons.

We are able to use the windows touchpad but it takes up massive screen realestate, while I understand that Steam users on the SteamDeck might be able to use SteamOS's keyboard easily, the restoof us may not. This would also make it easier for Xbox and PS5 players to communicate without needing a bluetooth keyboard. (Its impractical to take a keyboard on the bus).

I had seen a concept in an Addon for World of Warcraft that brings console controls to the game. its called ConsolePort. It has a radial selection of circles each consisting of 4 letters. use the L3 stick to select the circle and then the corresponding facebuttons to choose one of 4 letters.

Its quite an effective and fast way to type. when the stick is at a neutral position the face buttons become space delete enter and caps/lowercase.

Thanks and I really hope you can look into this as its a small change but a big win for the mobile gaming community.
