I might catch flack for suggesting this, but at the same time I'm not wishing to take away savage player's uniqueness either (when it comes to the weapons and mount mainly).
I thought about wouldn't it actually be nice to get more normal players to try savage but at normal damage level?
Benefits & Cons:
Benefits:
It will get more normal players to be bit more confident, and get used to strategies at their own pace before actually trying to do the real savage difficulty and be coming into it already knowing what to do, and possibly cut down on hours of pogging.
There is no Savage ladder restriction (explanation below regarding books)
It could be beneficial to see if there is alternative strategies to be found.
Players that want to experience it mainly, and the typical 2nd transformation of final savage boss without having to wait next expansion. Players in it for the fun without feeling left out.
No Enrage timer, but it can be chosen as a option by party leader if you want your team to get used to it.
Cons (mainly to respect actual savage players):
Savage Weapon is inaccessible.
Mount is inaccessible.
Gear Drop is inaccessible
- The only thing that is accessible is a book drop, but only one can be obtained from any raid. If you want more books beyond just one you must do actual savage difficulty raids, but whatever book you got from a specific raid on normal mode will be locked and have to wait next week.
