Life just got in the way and the story did not compel me to push through the tedium of average writing and out-dated quest design. Go here, talk to half a dozen npcs, rinse repeat. I love FFXIV’s story, but this expansion, for many valid reasons, just didn’t hold my interest at a time I was already busy with life changes. Even so, by the end I think it held up mostly fine. I’m finally enjoying the patch content, and it’s picking up a little. Once more enjoying the grind and honestly it just feels like I’m home.
