Hi guys.
I played a lot of tank classes so far, so even though I did not finish Dawntrail (just starting it) to take part in the really difficult content, I managed to be passable in most instances and I never had any problem, my sole worry being if I missed an ad or something similar. I could spam all my attacks to my heart content without a care in the world.
Now, playing WHM, I see that in many instances the situation is quite different. If I spam Cure II there is a real danger to run out of MP, and even though I try to use Lucid Dreaming on CD, it seems the danger of going dry is still there. There are the Ether potions, but they don't seem to do that much, at least not as much as I need to spam everything.
So the question is. Will higher level gear alleviate this MP hunger or is something I'm doing wrong in my resource management? For intense pulls (like the first in Aurum Vale) I try to Regen+Cure I (and Cure II if going badly) but knowing the later dungeons (and raids), I think I will need a method to be sure I have the juice to keep the party going. Or am I missing something entirely and healing is not about spaming your most potent spells all the time
