Steps:
1. Started participating in Chocobo races for the 3 needed for Minimog Challenge in the Modpendium.
2. First race brought my MGP to 9,999,999 and counted towards the progress in Modpendium.
3. Two further races did not count towards progress and I was stuck at 1/3 races required.
4. Spent some MGP.
5. Next two races counted towards Minimog challenge.
Basically, if you're not going to earn MGP because you're full, you won't be counted towards race participation.
