Hi ! Currently progressing the main story and I'm at the point where we've reunited with Alisaie (the twin sister not sure if my spelling is correct), and we've learnt about the warriors of darkness planning with the ascians to spawn kill the primals pretty much.
Everyone is acting like it's some evil genius plan and that killing primals will only bolster the bad feelings of the tribes thus forcing them to spawn even more powerful primals.
What I'm confused with is that... Isn't that what we've been doing for the entirety of ARR and to some extent Heavensward ?
I get that the ascians are scheming behind the scenes to facilitate the summoning of the primals by providing cristals and such, but what is the point of the warriors of darkness then ? Since we already were killing primals as soon as they spawned anyway?
And if slaying them continuously only makes the problem worse why were we patting ourselves on the back for doing exactly that the entire time ?
I feel like I must be missing an important piece of information (I've read all and watched all cutscenes but maybe I've forgotten something) because as it stands it doesn't seem to make much sense to me.
Hopefully one of you experienced lore historian can enlighten me ! Cheers
