Hi, never posted here before but thought Id share some ideas. Ive played the game since ARR and would like to see the following suggestions at least discussed. In the past I have written suggestions and even an expansion storyline for FFXI back in 2009 until which FFXI unfortunately was taken to a different place for its "Final Phase" I believe it was called, but none the less I stand proud of my work. Enough of that however, these suggestions below are for XIV.

1. New Housing:

My favourite home is the Crystarium by far. I love this place. I have been waiting for what feels like a decade to be able to see a housing district here. Please develop a housing ward in the Crystarium!
2: BLM Job ability (Spoiler inc) ******

There was a spell used in a cutscene by Papalymo (for those who want to re-watch - "The Parting Glass", CS#15) where he casts an elemental enhancement onto Yda. This had me thinking. I cannot help think we should have these abilities for enhancement and make BLM more powerful and helpful. Below is my suggestion on this:
"Elemental Inheritance"
Cast: Instant
Recast: 120 seconds
Range: 0y
Radius: 30y
Effect
Grants Elemental Inheritance to self and all party members enhancing magical defence by 5%
Duration: 60 seconds
Additional Effect: Grants Umbral Inheritance or Astral Inheritance depending on affinity currently provided by yourself.
Umbral Inheritance: Increases magical damage of self and party members by 7%.
Astral Inheritance: Increases physical damage of self and party members by 7%.
Acquired: BLM Lv60
Affinity: BLM
TRAITS: "Elemental Perfection"
Acquired: BLM lv 100
Upgrades "Elemental Inheritance" to "Elemental Perfection" enhancing Umbral Inheritance and Astral Inheritance bonuses to 10% and part magical defence bonus to 10%
Affinity: THM BLM
