Today I would like your opinion.
As is: My alt (bard) is by now level 54 and at quest "The Reason Roaille".
Problem: I progress fairly fast, though, there is still a long way to go to Ishgard. I saw that I could purchase Tale of Adventure to skip the rest of the story up to Ishgard. Sounds nice on the paper, however, that would make me lose loads of rewards (gear, weapon, gils, exp, ...) and several dungeons/trials/raids wouldn't be unlocked. I'm not too sure what else I would lose out of skipping.
My question: What do you think? Does it make sense to do that with an alt? Do you have maybe friends who did it? How was their experience?
