Is there a way to stop music restarting all the time?

I love FFXIV but I am kinda sick of hearing the start of songs playing in the background and never hearing the end. Is there a way to have it so if I get into a battle or cutscene the song I was listening to in the background will continue from where I left it?

I love the music but it is getting very frustrating hearing the start of these wonderful songs.
