It's a minigame solo "duty", except it isn't a duty.
It's a solo instanced zone.
Up until now, every event has been a duty you talk to an NPC and "queue" for, like dungeons or trials.
This time, we get transported to a zone for the Sprig Cleaning minigame but can still do other things, like access friend list/free company list, /tells, party finder.
Unfortunately, we can't yet queue for actual duties during it, but it still leads me to wonder: are they testing a system which doesn't rely on instanced duties?
Imagine playing gold saucer minigames like Leap of Faith while queued for another duty, or in a party finder. Or what about field zones, like Eureka, Bozja, or Occult Crescent?
TL;DR: New event minigame is a new type of "hybrid" instanced duty. Maybe they're testing a new way of playing while still being allowed to queue for roulettes or party finder?
