Pretty much just the title. 'upgraded' to the app because the control panel would no longer go to the window where the driver updates could be downloaded.
When I discovered that FFXIV was crashing on launch, I tried restoring the settings (as the app wants to 'optimize' your games). This did not work. Then I uninstalled the app. Still does not work.
Oh, to be clear, the launcher opens, I fill in password and one-time code, get tot he screen with the green play button, I click the button, then the game crashes out as soon as it tries to open.
Feeling at a bit of a loss right now, game night just ended and I do not have the energy to try delving deeper, I am hoping one of you just knows the right answer.
