The recent patch notes say they are consolidating cwls and that cwls can be used across data centers in the same region.
However, the limit is staying at 8. This will disable the cwls used in other data centers that exceed the already low limit of 8.
Please, please increase the limit. I will be over the limit on my main and don't want to lose access to those groups of people. A friend of mine is also using a different data center linkshell for a RP venue over there and will be over the limit and might have to leave one that we use to chat, which will suck.
While you are at it, please increase the character count limits in cwls. I've seen fights break out over who gets to stay or keep X number of characters in a cwls. Especially for venues or RP plot groups who have a lot of members, who gets to be in cwls and have access to chatting with the group is limited to priorities or popularity contests and it's messy for no reason. I know a lot of people who have resorted to mods to run chats that can include more characters, which leaves out people who don't use mods. 65 may seem like a lot, but as soon as you deal with large groups or people with alternate characters, it sucks to only be able to talk to your friends while logged into one character and not the other. A lot of fun gameplay time can be had from alts, leveling them for RP or dressing them up or going through a questline again. I run one linkshell where I have to constantly throw someone's alt out in order to add a new character of theirs and then when they go back to the prior alt for some game time they can no longer talk in chat, and it sucks. I hate having to maintain those rules and not just invite all their characters.
This is a social game; that's one of its main strengths. Why is it so difficult to talk to our friends and play the game with others?
