So with the new glamour unlocks, we now have a wider variety of pieces we can use between jobs. So I decided to try and make a Reaper glam, with the level 90 Botanist set. And while I liked the hood, I decided to try on others to see if I liked another better, and boy was I in for a shock. I tried on several hoods, and some decided to give me, a lalafell, the extra ear protrusions. And which hood gave me them and which didn't was really inconsistent.
I designed my character with more standard, smaller ears, so the protrusions, I get on some gear, make me cringe. Not all; some of the protrusions look nice and add some flare for the race, but others are just obscene; in my opinion. It's not only the protrusions, sometimes the headpiece is missing some parts around where the ears would be to accommodate ears of a certain length. Like the new Monster Hunter hood having holes in it.
This isn't bad, per se, but I wish I had the option to forego the extra protrusions. And that made me think of the recent addition for Viera, where they have a toggle to hide their ears or not. Adding a toggle for some of the other races with unique ears would be a nice quality of life feature. I know Miqo'te have a similar thing with some hats having ear protrusions and others not. So maybe some of those players would like that as well. Maybe even a toggle for tails too. Any thoughts on this?
