So I recently got back into FF14 after a hiatus upon completing Endwalker. I was hesitant to come back and start Dawntrail because I read nothing but hate towards it. I cant speak for the entire expansion because I just finished the Vangaurd dungeon but honestly so far I am having a blast with the MSQ. I will admit that the expansion doesnt really kick off until you complete the Skykeep Cenote dungeon but to be fair I feel like most expansions in this game take awhile to get the ball rolling but its usually a huge pay off. I know a lot of people weren't too keen on the WoL taking a back seat and becoming more of a mentor for Wuk Lamat but I dont mind it to be honest and I dont think Wuk Lamat is as bad of a character as everyone makes her out to be. Even then there are so many other good characters in this expansion (Gulool Ja Ja, Koana, Bakool Ja Ja). The dungeons and trials are so good and some of the best in awhile and the music is fire. Again maybe it starts to go heavily downhill at a certain but I dont honestly see all the hate for it. I enjoy it just as much maybe even more than Stormblood and that's no hate on SB because I still really enjoyed it. Hoping I could start a productive discussion on why this expansion got so much hate.
