 | Huge thanks to everyone who showed up on Sophia for A Midsummer Night's Dream after seeing this post! It was both nerve-wracking and incredibly exciting to see you guys break the on-screen character limit. Luckily, with some finagling on the first night, the stream was safe. Since a lot of people asked in the comments, I figured I'd make another post to share the VOD. Also here's our website if anyone is interested in either watching, or getting involved in, future productions. ~Rambling below~ We're for sure going to do another play, but I'd also say that if you're interested in this sort of thing, it's absolutely worth checking out the performing arts community on your own data centre! A lot of people don't seem to be aware of it, but there are absolutely other groups doing all sorts of cool and creative things: Materia has JJammin' and Materia in Concert, Aether has The Firebird Theatre, the Eorzean Museum Network has a presence in every region, and those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. You can also absolutely try doing something like this yourself, if you're so inclined! Seriously, I didn't even have to get permission. I was just like "I'm thinking of putting on a Shakespeare play" and people were like "rad, I want in" and then we did it.
