Am I the only one who feels this way, or do others feel the same?
I can't relate to the Warrior of Light as a character at all, and it feels like the dialogue choices were written for a younger generation. I feel like my character is a mighty Roegadyn or Hrothgar who slays gods and the like (which the character does, of course, but the dialogue options reflect that specific persona, you can't really choose to be more reserved or indifferent).
It also feels like you're just the bodyguard for your friends, Alphinaud or Alisaie, for example.
It simply feels like I'm playing a character that isn't mine. The only thing reminding me that it is my character is the appearance I created myself.
You also can't choose a friendly option when speaking to characters like Zenos, Emet-Selch, or other villains. It’s also a bit creepy how Zenos is into you "in a weird way."
It comes down to the fact that I can't identify with the main character I'm playing, the Warrior of Light.
Do others feel this way, and if so, why? I know the game dictates the plot, but that doesn't necessarily have to apply to the dialogue choices you make regarding what the character says.
