How to better Roleplay as a Qestir?

I play a Qestir character in the game. of course, since im not in it I think I can afford myself to go a little out of character.
but in game I generally use macros and the "/em" command to communicate. for example

"/em looks at you with a friendly expression, she seems to enjoy your company!"
kinda like the interactions in the steppe go.

or i communicate via emotes or punctuation marks, I don't want to use the walking around with a piece of paper or a chalkboard method because i'm not quite sure Qestiri can communicate via written language.
