Depending on the size of the community I'm worried I may possibly be blacklisted from running it...
A couple weeks ago, as I found out dark blue quests unlocked new content, I went back to complete as many as I could find and I stumbled into Eureka.
(This might be a little long, but it is relevant to my situation. ) I'm playing on the free trial, so I don't have access to the world chat or whispers and I cannot form groups... Eureka has been a little rough. Most people even in the starting map are max leveled and max geared, and even when I spent hours begging for a group, with a green icon next to my name showing I was looking for a group, trying to explain I was unable to get credit because bosses were dying so fast, 90% of the time I would simply get ignored.
Over 2 weeks I was probably able to join 4 groups between the first and second maps. It honestly made me feel a little dejected seeing people spamming the world chat with all the bosses they were pulling knowing I couldn't participate either because I was too low leveled, or too unfamiliar with the area to make it on time, or even if I did try to make it being unable to tell them I'm on the way and getting to the boss as it's dying. So I switched my chat tab to "Event" so all I saw in the chat was NPC text from whichever NPC I last spoke with for quests.
I finally made it to the 3rd map and with the introduction of logograms it was actually a really nice experience for the first time! I was just vibing and listening to music and farming either random mobs for leveling, or the low level bunny fate or sprites for new logograms.
Later I switched my chat window back to a tab where I could see what other people were saying for a roulette dungeon. Eventually I scrolled up and saw that people had been messaging me while I was solo farming in Eureka.
Apparently there was a group of people who wanted to circumvent the boss spawn cooldowns by leaving the instance and forcing it to generate a new instance. Again, I didn't see any of it because I was in the "Event" tab and I also disabled the whisper sound effect a few weeks ago because as I was doing quests I would often get lots of spam whispers for free company recruitments. (Also unavailable on the free trial) With the occasional random message, but still being unable to reply just made it a little frustrating so I muted the little ringing sound.
I scrolled up to where it started with some messages like: "Hey leave the instance we're gonna reset"
Then they were in the instance saying in the world chat "GG can't reset because this asshole won't leave"
They even whispered me things like "Just leave already you're ruining the game for like 20 people. 20 people who run BA. People you do NOT want to make angry"
Eventually someone said "I hope this dude wasn't planning on ever running BA. We're gonna remember his name if he ever tries to join" Then they spent the next 20 minutes spamming the world chat about how I was being malicious and a jerk.
Ironically while I had just begun to actually enjoy Eureka for the first time and started thinking about going back and farming earlier maps after I get the final stage of the weapon and armor that require farming Baldesion Arsenal.
