Hi all, new player here.
I played through ARR and currently starting Heavensward.
One thing I've noticed is that the game doesn't seem to have a global chat like other mmos I played.
So how can you engage with other players? I see many people in the hubs standing in groups/close beside. I guess they are engaging in RP and I don't wan't to bother them.
I learned that there is a linkshell system thats basically like a big group chat that can even be cross-server if I understand it correctly.
I joined the guild of my friend, but it's rather small (~10 players) and most of them just logg on, do the roulettes and then logg of.
To be fair, many of them have like 5k hours in the game so I guess they've seen all the content there is and are just waiting for the next content/expansion to drop. And if I need help with something they are right there, so no flak to them at all.
But it feels a little bit lonely if you get what I'm saying.
So are there any ways/events/websites to engage with new peeps?
