Hello. The game UI says feedback and suggestions for the game should go in this forum so here is some feedback.
Global cooldown of 2.5 seconds is too long. Sometimes I click stuff but they don't go out because the global cooldown is not done yet. For example, when I play a melee class, I click the first skill in a combo and its animation is done in 1 second and then when I try to click the second skill, it is not ready yet. This makes me have to stare at the action bar the whole time to know when I can click again. Also when things are chaotic, sometimes you try to click the second ability but it doesn't come out and you realize after clicking the third that you broke the combo. It is less noticeable with caster classes because their cast animation and cast bar is in sync with the global cooldown so you start casting again as soon as the first cast comes out. Sometimes you are also trying to take action before a mechanic and your hands are fast enough but the game's cooldown is too slow so you fail.
The Haste state barely fixes the problem. Even if all your gear has haste on it, you can only reduce it from 2.5 seconds to maybe 2.3 seconds.
I think base global cooldown should be reduced to 2 seconds and that secondary stats should have a greater effect because right now they feel like fake stats that only allow for marginal adjustments. Haste on all slots should be able to bring you down to 1 second. Critical should give you a larger chance. Direct hit should give more base damage. Skill potency can be adjusted to compensate. So the end result leads to the same output currently present (slow big hits, or fast weaker hits, or medium speed and damage average out). This will allow people to build according to their preference. People who want fast and responsive gameplay can stack more haste. People who want slower but more chunky hits/heals can focus on crit. People who want to play slow and comfortable can build accordingly. Maybe let Haste slightly increase mana regeneration to compensate the extra mana loss.
