 | Last week I used one of my two free Fantasia potions to switch from Elezen to Viera. Several of you pointed out posture issues with the Viera that I was quick to dismiss. However as the days went on I began to notice them as well. The forward hips, the bent neck, like my Warrior of Light had been crouched in a chair for hours every day. Viera animations are great but I couldn't handle the posture. I spent the last few days struggling to pick a new race. Midlanders are too plain and are shorties. Highlanders, Hrothgar, and Roes look terrible as caster jobs. Miqo'te idle pose is weird and they're just too popular already. Viera have bad posture. I won't even mention Lalafell. Elezen I still don't like their poses and they just look too thin and frail in many armor sets, but I did go back and forth a lot between Au'Ra and Elezen. Their faces are also very plain, it's hard to make something unique, I get they're supposed to be elegant and all but come on give us more than a couple scars and bad facial hair. I had initially ruled out Au'Ra because of the tail and the horns and the scales but after comparing the races in many armor sets, Au'Ra just look awesome in all of them. They have great posture, too. If it wasn't for that damn running animation...but I can look past that. I'll just always have my weapon out. It's worth it to look good in everything. So here he is, my new Raen Au'Ra. Tough, beautiful, not too grumpy, a shining beacon of good posture, and not too common. Vaela can go cry in a corner with their emo black scales.
