Just got to the end of base Dawntrail last night (and lost some sleep doing so) and I wanted to share my thoughts.
Off the bat, I don't think its as bad as people made it out to be but I would definitely say its the weakest expansion. Wuk Lamat is not the terrible awful character she was made out to be by people online but she is a flawed character. Or more accurately, she's not as flawed as I think she should be. For a character as omni-present as she is i would expect her to have a more dynamic character arc where she has some big personal flaws to overcome and that just doesnt happen. That being said, I don't find her super annoying or anything.
The story felt pretty empty tho. I swear I havent felt like the game was trying to pad its run time this much since Titan in ARR. However, I think the last stretch really pulled it together and gave me some nice emotional moments.
Overall, its a rough expansion but it had some good moments.
