I want to preface my post with the fact I probably spend more time in here than the average player, I dont say this to make myself authoratitive on this subject but to let people know I enjoy the Occult Crescent as an overall gameplay ecosystem and wish to see it and future related contents be better than what it currently is.
As it stands accessory drops are way to low to be worth grinding to obtain. Having anecdotal drop rates lower than the demi-atma, which was already considred by some as too low, is not the way to have people engage with this content. I want to point out that having there be DoW and DoM gear split is good addition in my opinion as it gives players the social encounters of trading their drops with other players which is nice. However, i cannot excuse such abysmal drop rates mixed with getting gear you may neither desire or use.
I'm going to present some thoughts I have had on improving the expereince whilst keeping accessories being a grind and inviting player trade.
Firstly adding a visible pity system; such as a currency trade in, whether that is 9999 silver/gold exchange, sanguinite trade,"accessory fragments" where you need x amount to make into a accessory or a token system akin to the bicolours. Having a way to visibly track your progress would make the experience feel less like an endless grind and more of an actual path to power.
Secondly is just increasing drop rates (atleast to around demi-atma aquisition) but splitting each accessory slot to a different activity e.g. CE=Ear, Fate=Neck, mob drop=Wrist, bronze/silver chests=ring and then pot/bunny chest=deep ring.
I believe both or even just one of these methods could improve player enjoyment and retention in Occult crescent when it comes to the grind for this loot.
