End-Game Raiding

Hi XIVers,

I raided in a static way back in 2.X up until Heavensward was released. I've checked back in with the game periodically, but mostly just did the story and caught up to the max level. I'm back again and my life is in a place where I can consider doing End-Game content again. I am a try-hard raider and I love this gameplay of this game, so my biggest interest is getting to the hardest content and finding a consistent way to clear it.

I have a couple of questions that I think I might have some understanding of, but really want some insight from current players in the End-Game space:

1) Is most of the hardest raiding (extremes, Savage, etc) done in statics? I really don't have a good understanding of the landscape, but it seems to me that Party Finder is a more common way to complete raids each week then having a static, which is a big difference from when I played before.

2) Is there an easy way to think of the reward structures for End-Game? E.g. is the "thing to do" just clearing normal mode on raids for gear, or do you get better gear for completing Savage/other similar content?

3) I mained tank mostly back in ARR, doing my most serious content clears as a strength-specc'd warrior. Right now I have RDM, GNB, VPR, and Sage leveling up (all between 80-90 as I work through Endwalker story). I truly have fun on every role in the game, and what I want to play is what will make me desirable in competent groups. Any advice on which of those jobs to start getting highly competent on as I progress, or any other suggestion for jobs that are likely to be meta-mainstays?

Thanks you in advance!
