Rules for Dynamis
• Time: Beginning from the exact time the first Perpetual Hourglass is traded to a set of Trail Markings or Hieroglyphics, you will be given exactly one hour (Earth time) in a Dynamis area per reservation, not accounting for time extensions obtained through defeating certain enemies (these can increase Dynamis time to a maximum of 210 minutes, or three and a half hours). Time limit warnings will be displayed when 10 minutes, 3 minutes and 30 seconds are left. (The time your "reservation" expires will always be listed in the item description of each Perpetual Hourglass held.)
• Leaving: It is possible to leave Dynamis before time has expired. This can be done by dropping your Perpetual Hourglass, selling it in a Bazaar, being KO'd and Home Pointing, or through teleporting magic or items (such as Warp or Instant Warp). You may re-enter the same area without restriction as long as time has not expired and you still have the Perpetual Hourglass for that session.
• Reentering: You may re-enter Dynamis before your Perpetual Hourglass has expired, however, a character re-entering Dynamis will be weakened for 15 minutes. After your time in Dynamis has expired, 72 hours since your initial entering must pass before you may enter any Dynamis area again.
• Clearing: Examining the ??? after the boss for the Dynamis area is defeated will grant a Key Item (specific to the Dynamis area) and a title change.
• Death: Experience Points are lost if you are defeated within Dynamis.
2) Artifacts.
Here are where the Artifacts II for each job drop from the RoZ Dynamis:
Each CoP Dynamis drops three different items for each job: an Artifact II, an Artifact-1 (used to custom the appropriated part of your Artifacts II) and a Back/Waist. Here are where they drop:
• All stats about Artifacts II, Artifacts +1, Waist and Belt, can be find in the Trophy Post.
Single Dynamis Currency drop from all mobs. 100 note Dynamis currency drop from Statues, Vanguard Eyes and some NMs / Mega Boss (CoP Dynamis). Artifacts II drop randomly (the job of the mob doesn't matter for which AF2 he will drop) from regular Vanguard and Nightmare mobs and NMs in Dynamis - Xarcabard (a PLD NM will drop a PLD AF2). Artifacts -1 drop from regular Nightmare mobs. Waist/Belt: still wondering...
3) Dynamis Mobs.
Here are the name of each mob, for each race (except for Dynamis - Xarcabard, which have Demon type named by their job). You can see which mob to Silence, Aspir, which mob need to be Stun if they use their 2h (MNKs mainly), when to use Barfira, and the order to kill the mobs. The general kill order is as follows:
All pets (casted by Beastmaster type) need to be Silenced since they can use some annoying AoE:
• Vanguard's Hecteyes - Dispelga.
• Vanguard's Scorpion - Breakga.
• Vanguard's Crow - Silencega.
• Vanguard's Slime - Paralyga.
• Kindred Vouivre - all Wyvern's TP move, such as Paralyzga, Radiant Breath (frontal AoE: dmg, slow and silence).
All avatars (casted by Summoner type) need to be slept in order to avoid them using Astral Flow.
All mobs can be slept, and enfeebled. Do not use any Damage Over Time spells (DoT spells) since it will prevent mob to stay asleep. However, Vanguard Eyes (Dynamis - Beaucedine, Xarcabard) cannot be slept, use "Level 5 Petrify" AoE, Sleepga, and need to be taken down first. Hydra mobs (Dynamis - Beaucedine, Tavnazia) cannot be slept either. They need to be kited with Gravity and Bind. All informations about fighting NMs or Mega boss, will be explained (or can be asked to) by Shell/Sackholers.

If you buy them all, you will need around 550.000.000 gil.
You can find almost everything you need to know about upgrading a Relic Weapon at FFXIclopedia or at Mystery Tour.FFXIclopedia said:This sums up to 17,900 pieces of single-unit ancient currency, or an average of 179 Dynamis runs on the above assumtion. This again means to do 2 dynamis runs every week for 90 weeks, which would mean nearly two years if you were to obtain your currency simply by sponsoring your own Dynamis runs. Of course, upgraders typically buy Ancient Currency where they can (although it's not so abundant as most groups in Dynamis are collecting for their own sponsors Relic upgrades), and if the price of 100-unit pieces is approximately 3-4 million a piece, you're looking at a total of 537,000,000 - 716,000,000 gil worth of Ancient Currency. Not to mention the prices of any of the other items that are needed in the various stages of upgrades.
On top of all this is the requirement of a few Rare/Ex items that can only be obtained in Dynamis: Beaucedine and Dynamis: Xarcabard. These aren't items that drop off any mob while you're fighting your way to a win - you will need to go out of your way with your Dynamis group to obtain these items. And the fights aren't necessarily easy either.
So basically, this is a very long, very expensive process. Square-Enix has even said that Relic Weapons are not meant to be for everyone - they're only meant for a handful of people who have the means and resources to go about the upgrades. So if you would like to get a fully upgraded weapon, now have an idea of what you're in for!
