So this question is primarily for controller players, PC or console, and how you deal with button bloat.
I'm working on taking my PLD to lvl80 right now and with the like 50 different shields (yes, an exaggeration, but not as much as it should be) and some of the "new" attacks added in Stormblood and beyond, the 16 buttons you have on the main cross bar isn't nearly enough. I have another 8 set up for LT+RT, which is where I put less frequently used things, and I also use the XIVCombo mod to collapse a few actions into a single button, but even then I'm still having to make some decisions about what to include.
I've thought about having one set of cross bars for like level 50 and below and another for 51+ but honestly I find I'm always forgetting to switch at the start of dungeons so that doesn't work.
Also, in case anyone's wondering... I'm sort of borderline carpel tunnel so kbm just isn't an option if I want to be able to play for more than like 10 minutes at a time. I also tried one of those keyboard attachments for the Xbox controller, but they caused too many other issues to be worthwhile.
So, how do you all handle it?
