The context:
Long ago, I made a SE account using my personal email for the free trial. I THINK there was a time limit back then, not sure. I wanted to use the free trial again to start with friends, but I thought I ran out of time. In any case, I made a new SE account using my college email.
Now, I know that was stupid. So eventually I went inside Mogstation to change my primary email back to my personal email. I thought it would solve it. Big mistake.
The dilemma:
For reasons I’m going to spare you with, I had to reinstall windows on my PC. This meant needing to reinstall all my apps, including FF14.
I tried logging in using my SE Id, and immediately got hit with the “Based upon recent suspicious activity, your account may be at risk. We have temporarily suspended login access to this account. Instructions have been sent to the email address registered to your Square Enjx account.” Fair, I guess technically I’m logging in for what is registered as a “new” computer.
The problem?
I don’t see anything on my personal email, which leads me to my next conclusion -
It’s being sent to my college email.
Which I no longer have access to.
….
So yeah, I’m at a loss here. I put in a ticket to SE so that hopefully I can get it recovered. I explained my situation. I am also hoping someone sees this, but also hoping to see if anyone here has any solutions.
My biggest gripe is that that, in the worst case scenario, I have no idea how I can cancel my subscription. I can’t login to my account, so I can’t use it to cancel my automatic subscription.
Any help here would be highly appreciated. At the very least I’d love to be able to call a number from SE.
