 | I want to be clear in no way is this a complaint. I just feel kinda bad. I've been using the alias MrHeyDude for several years now across platforms, and I just recently returned to FFXIV after a few years break. Couldn't get my original paid account recovered (Also named MisterHeyDude) due to only receiving automated responses and it being a bit messy of a situation so I figured I'd start a Free Trial and see if I can get into it again. As you can imagine I like to greet people all the time with a good ol' fashioned "Hey Dude" and of course that extends to things like duty roulette when we load in. People always love it and get a kick out of it, it encourages friendly communication which I love and the odd time I get someone saying something like "He said the thing!" or "The catchphrase!" and it's always funny and heartwarming. I sadly, only just learned after a week of being back that a Free Trial account cannot send tells, and I have no idea if these people know if I'm FT or Paid. The limitation is completely understandable and I have no issues with it, but after a few occasions where I could not see my replies sent to individuals like this lovely person here I decided to look into it. My heart did sink a bit, because I had of course just assumed these people were getting my replies and then just carrying on with what they were doing. So if you happen to be one of the handful of people who have sent me a message like this please know I did try to respond, and I'm not just ignoring you as it goes against the persona I've created. If you see me in game feel free to hit me with a "Hey Dude" and I look forward to being able to reply to folks in the future when I do get a sub, but until then I still have a lot of the MSQ I have to go back through first.
