I have around 50 hours of playtime and during all of that I've never really tried to make gil. I spent the weekend leveling Miner and Armorer to 100 and ended up unintentionally getting Trade Mentor. Im currently in the EW patch quests and will probably hit Dawntrail by next month at the rate I play MSQ.
All of that to say, im tired of getting money, buying a few things, and then just going back to being broke.
I dont really have enough time on my hands to constantly look at MB trends and server hop to get things that sell well. I have however started doing GC turn ins for seals, ive started getting a treasure map a day, and I currently have 10 retainers at miner lvl 90. Ive seen a lot of people say years ago that doing ventures for Water Crystal's is a good way to make around half a mil a week if you stay on top of it. Is this still the case?
Also I run a small FC and have started looking into gathering the materials for a sub as I hear after like 4 months or so you can start making around 500k per day if youre lucky with vendor items.
Are these both still viable methods? Is there a better alternative as far as crystals? Is there any other good money making things I should be doing that are just blatantly obvious?
