Everyone has that one job that has skills they want to keep at higher levels but can't. I miss howling fist from low level monk and my partner misses wide volley on bard. A toggle for which animation you prefer on abilities that function the same is an overdue feature and could help with our post level 100 problem.
I think we can fill the void left by cross class skills by giving players unique animations to earn for their pre existing skills. We can reward players for leveling multiple jobs by letting them show off their machinist firing a black mage fire infused drill or replace your automaton queen with gun dragon from final fantasy unlimited by leveling summoner.
Beyond that we can use this system too add loot/reasons to do old and new dungeons. This could be something like getting a firey stab animation for completing vanaspatti as a dragoon. Getting special gap closer animations as a reward for properly mitigating a knock back with one. The potential is limitless.
