Good Evening.
A couple weeks ago I made a post and asked quite a few questions as I had the desire to do the new Extreme, but didn't have a static and was thinking about joining party finder, but it made me very anxious.
You lot had a lot of advice for me and patiently answered all my questions. Well, once the 7.5 came, I did upgrade my gear for Warrior, got myself some Popcorn and planned to search for Prog from Start parties on Friday.
Curiously enough, an FC mate already asked me to join a party he helped out on Thursday, so I could see the first half of the fight already. On Friday, my FC mate didn't have time, so I decided to brace it on my own.
I made quite a few stupid mistakes and felt really bad afterwards, even wondering if it is really worth it. But then I checked the guide and noticed what my mistake was (if you wanna know, I thought you could stand in-between towers instead of having to take the places where a tower would be, what a mess-up). After the duty timed out, I told my husband and he calmed me down and said that if I really played THAT badly, they would have kicked me. And besides, it was a prog from start party, they probably didn't think they would get further than adds.
Anyway, I then joined with the FC mates again on Sunday where we managed to beat add phase and saw it until the Naught Hunts mechanic. We unfortunately were delayed by a DPS going AFK forever and I ran out of time and couldn't get the clear as I had to go offline and do something else.
Enter today. I decided to see if there is a party around my prog state which I would say is mostly "from adds". There is one, I join as Off Tank and ... make mistakes with the towers again (this time confusing markers 3 and C). My partner melee explains the mechanics to me anew however and I don't make mistakes anymore.
And... we've seen the Enrage! Only once, but the party made it! We just had a little too less damage to get him down, I think he was around 2 % or so and there were too many knocked out players who had been revived from some mechanics before.
This party was really wholesome though and if you guys read that, I was the cat boy in the red coat and first, sorry for the stupid mistake in add phase and second, I hope y'all get the clear soon!
Anyway, thanks again for soothing my anxiety and convincing me that party finder isn't as scary as I thought it would be. I honestly might even prefer it over a Static, as you can do content when you have time and feel like it when you don't mind having to wait a little longer.
I plan to try again on Friday and I hope I get the kill this time! I won't mess up add phase again!
