Final Fantasy XIV is quite possibly currently my favorite game of all time. 8000+ hours over the span of about 3 years is proof of that. There is one entire quest left until I lose that sprout icon that may as well be burned into my screen...
I've spent all 8000 of those hours as a sprout TREMENDOUSLY behind on MSQ. My friends have bugged me about it for years and all this time I've decided to keep my pace and stay true to everything that I've wanted to do. This was not a challenge run, just the story of a person with ADHD set loose into a backlog of 10+ years of developed content.
The list of major things I haven't done yet is quite short. PvP, Baldesion Arsenal, admittedly Bozja and most Deep Dungeons in their entirety... But everything else? Done.
I think my favorite part of this game is that it took me this long to achieve everything. Story and gameplay aside, no single thing has ever captivated my attention for this long before. I've had my ups and downs and spent some days away just to take a breather, but I always came back. I always have fun.
All those hours, the friends I made, even meeting my now fiancee, was only possible thanks to this game.
All this to say. I look forward to whatever Dawntrail gives me. To forever Forge Ahead.
