I’m watching my wife catch up to me being at the end of HW patch quests and she’s just finished ARR patch quests and we noticed something kinda off I seemingly just forgot about. It’s sort of a minor story point and sorry if I’m forgetting something or understanding the dialogue incorrectly but I feel like it was never actually fully explained. Story spoilers for the end of patch 2.55
It’s regarding pretty much everything about how Aymeric and Lucia left the gathering. After Teledji enters with some Ishgardian knights and tells them the Dravanians are attacking Ishgard both Lucia and Aymeric seem to realize this is untrue. Lucia notes how they’ve gotten no word of an attack and how it wouldn’t make sense for them to attack again so soon, basically that something is up with this situation, yet they leave anyway. Aymeric seems to be being smug calling Teledji a “gracious host” in a sort of mocking way like he knows he’s lying, but again they genuinely leave after that. Did Aymeric just not care that something was about to go down because he wasn’t in the alliance yet? That doesn’t rly fit with his character going forward.
I feel like I’m going crazy with this, were dravanians really attacking?? I swear it’s said later that it didn’t actually happen. Was this not a lie and just a part of Teledji’s plan and they fell for it? The only explanation that really makes any sense to me is that they realistically realize Teledji is lying but on the small off chance he isn’t they have to be sure to be back home. But if that’s the case won’t they find out the Ishgardian knights are in on it too? Then what happened after their lie was discovered? Like genuinely what happened to Aymeric and Lucia after this they aren’t seen again until you start Heavensward. If I’m missing something someone please tell me
