· The "Boeing" Subscription: How I Got Kicked from My FC

I want to share my experience getting to know the Russian-speaking community in Final Fantasy XIV. The game isn't very popular in our country, and the number of guilds (FCs) is very limited. I chose the "Laodezia" community because of its long history and high popularity. They are on the Odin server, which is the only reason I went there.

I chose a rather unconventional approach to the game. I created two accounts — one for myself and one for my wife — but initially, I wanted to play as two characters simultaneously, as I already had experience with this playstyle in other MMOs. I don't use any automation software and do everything manually. I don't break any rules. However, the "LAO" community reacted with a wave of hate, claiming that I was "getting too full of myself." I started arguing with them, which resulted in my first warning from the administration.

A month later, it was time to pay for the subscription, and I mentioned in the FC that I was paying for the game on the Mog Station at the standard European price. The guys compared this price to the cost of a Boeing airplane and bragged that they pay four times less in the Russian Steam store — about $11 for 90 days. And I, supposedly, pay "as much as an airplane." I replied that I consider Russian Steam to be "crap" and that I'm willing to pay the regular price. Do you know what happened after that? They simply kicked both of my characters from the FC, stating the reason as me inciting a conflict based on national characteristics.

And now I have a question: which one of us has gone crazy?
