Holy crap. I started playing this game just over a month ago because a friend wanted me to try it. I didn't think I'd like it. I don't play online games. I play games to get away from people, thanks. Well, the game hooked me, I just got into Heavensward yesterday, the dungeons are surprisingly my favorite part even with it being "people-y."
But holy shit, guys, this Yokai event.
My friend and I partied up with each other, figured out what weapon we were going after, got on his two-seater whale mount, and waited in the air for fates to spawn up. You could look around and see other people hovering on their mounts, just waiting too. People forming parties and giving locations through the chat. People healing and rez-ing they've never played with. Masses of overpowered, murderous people descending from the sky. It felt like a party. It felt like a big community. Lots of chatter, and nobody was being mean or condescending, everyone helping each other out.
It's stupid, but it gave me some warm fuzzies and shit.
