Xiv Is Now My Favorite Mmo

I tried this game a year ago, and while I enjoyed it, my heart was never in it. I got to about level 30 ACN. Fast forward to two months ago; I was burnt out on ESO, GW2 wasn't my cup of tea, and I didn't feel like returning to Warframe or trying WOW again. I thought I should give FFXIV a shot one more time.

I pushed through the MSQ like everyone said to do. There were parts I quite enjoyed, although there were parts that weren't as easy to get through. This time I used the Japanese dub, and it was much improved to the ARR ENG voicing.

Now I'm close to finished with Stormblood and I just wanted to give my thoughts.

This is EXACTLY what I've always wanted and craved from an MMO. An incredible story that gets me properly invested in the world. I am still processing how great a time I am having at this point.

ARR was literally just the first act / prologue / world building. God people were NOT lying when they said it was all worth it.

The locales, narrative, characters, everything is hitting just right for me.

The dungeon design and bosses are incredible, as well as the impressive tracks.

Heavensward's story was beautiful and enchanting. Kugane is now one of my favorite cities in any video game.

I love going into an intense story sequence and then coming back to Limsa for my ventures and squadron training. Listening to the bards next to the Aetheryte, and the bustle of the crowds. It really has become my home.

The whole experience is just unforgettable.

I'd just like to thank Yoshi P, the dev team, and this community for making one my now best experiences in gaming happen.
