I have been a long player of MMORPG’S , some of my earliest gaming memories are of playing World of Warcraft. About 8 years ago I got hard core into moba’s (dota in particular) even having a spell playing competitively. I have kept up with my mmorpgs as down time but never have they sparked my passion like they used to. I have many level 120’s of wow and level 80’s of guild wars 2 but I have never managed to get past level 13 on ff14 despite me trying.
Well i was doing that thing that I’m sure we all do if clicking through my 80+ games on steam with no interest to play any. I have been enjoying story games more but miss the multiplayer aspect however recently I have found the toxicity in many of these games to be unbearable. So I decided ahh well let’s try out ff14 I have been trying out every mmorpg again even boarding to the unknown of things like knights online.
So i started playing ff14 again about 3 days ago and found myself making a gladiator and I can’t tell you how amazing I have found this game. I have barely stopped thinking about it and have loved every second. The story is amazing and engaging , I feel like the levelling experience is actually something to enjoy rather than a means to actually get to end game content. For the first time ever I am reading quest dialogue cause ... it’s actually interesting and the characters feel like they have a personality rather than hey some wolves annoyed me can you go kill 8 of them. I have just become a paladin and am level 32 and I love it , I might not be the fastest léveler , for once I don’t care I’m really enjoying it. The community is so kind , I haven’t joined a free company yet , only just joined the Maelstrom. But in my dungeon groups everyone helps me explore and watches the cut scenes with me , because the beauty in this game is amazing. The job/ class system is so Interesting and the spell animations themselves are so gorgeous. This is truely an amazing game, I have long put off really getting into this game and I regret not playing it sooner. Tl,dr; Be thankful you have such an amazing game , because I am bewildered at all the great content.
