Hey everyone, so for the last few years, FF14 wasn't really on my radar at all. I've always been a fan of FF, but I've never played/had interest in an mmo, so I just brushed it aside - it seemed fine, I guess. However, the last few months I've heard nothing but amazing things about the expansions, particularly how the story is even perhaps the best in the entire franchise.
I'm interested in playing now, but I don't have anyone else to play it with, so I'd be going through this solo, mainly playing to progress through the narrative. Do you guys think that it is still worth it to play through the game this way, since I'd effectively be ignoring the whole multiplayer element as much as I could? Would the gameplay be a slog without a team of other players? About how many hours would I be looking at between the base game and the expansions? Thanks.
