like honestly, hear me out here.
you beat EW and as a reward you get your own home island.
all the functionality of a proper XIV house but its on the island.
you can sleep in there and log back in on your land.
when resting in your own home you get a bigger Potential exp buff.
you can level up your island with additional plots for farms and such
you can make item plaques and women/mannequins for showing off the cool gear you
get so you can show off items you got but dont use often for all those relic grind/deep dungeon/ raid fans
and people can put their islands up for visitors so people and friends can visit and see the grand display of the fruits of you labor
literally would mediate one of the most contentious areas of XIV, the housing lotto! you wouldn't even need to get rid of the current housing system for those that like it so those that like the gamble and those that like building their own home can have their fun!
(oh but you could level up your regular Crafters/Gatherers with home making)
