I just finished the post-MSQ of Shadowbringers. I loved it but thought it was fairly equal with Stormblood.
Looking up what other people thought I found out it's near the bottom of nearly everyone's ranking?
Maybe it's because I have a love for political and revolutionary stories, but I absolutely adored the grounded story of Stormblood and thought its characters were amazingly written and diverse.
Sure, Shadowbringers has amazing characters too, but I always felt that their characterisation and diversity was secondary to the big world consuming plot. I still barely know anything about the Ronka for example.
The one thing I didn't like is how boring Zenos was for most of Stormblood. In terms of villain writing Emet-Selch absolutely claps Zenos and dances on his empty grave.
