I think it says a lot about the game when you can't even make killing other players fun.

Even really bad indie games will keep you playing them for some time because being better than other players feels good.

In my opinion I think the issue is the lack of a reward system within the match itself. Look at any MOBA game, they trickle dopamine in your system with every kill you get, it's a constant thing that happens throughout the entire game. And even though you may dislike the game for plenty of other reasons you'll go back to it because you need your dopamine fix.

I decided to try out Rival Wings with some friends and even though we did really well I didn't personally enjoy it that much. The game doesn't even tell you when you kill someone, your soaring stack goes up but that's for the entire party, and when you get to 20 you have no idea if you're actually the one to get the kills.

Every other MMO in some way lets you know that you're badass, you got the last hit, this game doesn't and I can't understand why. It's such a small design element it could be anything honestly a sound, a kill tracker, the damage display being red, bold and 3x the size of other damage numbers on your screen if the damage is fatal. Anything to let you know that you dealt the killing blow would make a big difference in my opinon.

If you don't find PVP fun, why? What about the gameplay itself is not fun to you?
