Every time fanart is posted, no matter how good it is and what the subject of the piece is, there's bound to be at least one comment about "generic catgirls/bunnygirls" and it's getting really old.
Some people want to play tough burly characters while other people want to play cute characters with frilly clothes. Both sides and everything in between is valid. If someone is happy with their character and wants to share that with other people who might like it too, what do you add by bringing them down and calling their taste "generic"? It doesn't make you look cool, it just makes you seem insecure about your own tastes.
